SAPS Auxiliary Constables attend the Police and Peace Officer Memorial Service with Chief ROBICHAUD.

The Sainte-Anne Police Service Auxiliary Constable Program typically conducts two (2) intakes per year, dependent on needs. Auxiliary members must demonstrate integrity, a strong desire to serve the community of Sainte-Anne, and a friendly personable nature. As an Auxiliary Constable, you will be given the opportunity to develop an understanding of policing, build relationships with community members and organizations and contribute to a safe environment. 

Minimum Qualifications
 

- Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have completed Grade 12 or equivalent
- Have a valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License with no more than negative 4 (four) on the Driver Safety Rating (DSR) scale, and be eligible to obtain a Class 4 
- Be of good moral character
- Be mentally and physically able to perform the duties of an Auxiliary Constable
- Have no criminal record
- Hold a certificate in Basic First Aid/AED/CPR training
- Be willing to commit to a minimum of two (2) shifts per month, each ten (10) hours in duration, and participate in at least one (1) community event annually 
 

Application Process
 

Step 1: Submit your resume and cover letter, clearly indicating how you meet the qualifications for the program, either electronically or in-person at 608 Traverse Rd, Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays) between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Step 2: Complete an interview, background/reference review and police record/vulnerable sector check process.
Step 3: Attend and successfully complete theoretical and practical training on police procedures and use of force.
Step 4: Attend an orientation session.
Step 5: Successfully complete a probation period where your performance will be evaluated by Sainte-Anne Police Service members and staff.
